Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of the third episode show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team access areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
