I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
